Make a body pillow from an old bedsheet

By: Janice Wee

Do you have an old bed sheet that has seen better days, which
you are considering throwing away?

Don't throw it away?

Recycle it.

Change it into a body pillow.

Do you intend to throw that soft, comfortable bed sheet because
it has little tears, stains or holes in it?

Keep it.

You can use that as stuffing for your body pillow.

Before you start, have both bed sheets bleached, washed and dry
to ensure you have totally clean materials to start with.

Then take the best looking old bed sheet and fold it in half
lengthwise, and half across the width, so you have a rectangle a
quarter of the size of the original bedsheet. When you fold the
bed sheet, hide the defects in the folds so the rectangle you
get would show no stains or tears.

Iron this rectangle flat. Pay attention to the sides. Then sew
down the 3 open edges. You should have a nice rectangle that
stays put without any openings.

Fold this rectangle lengthwise. This is going to be the shape of
your body pillow.

Sew along the outer edges of this long rectangle, leaving one
narrow side open for the stuffing.

Now turn the rectangle inside out and stuff it with the other
bed sheet to plump it up.

Sew the opening shut and you have a brand new body pillow.

Now get new cheap
bedding sets to replace the old ones to give your bedroom a
brand new look. These are branded bedding sets going cheap
because of the discounts. Also check out these discount
bedding sets for the best value for your money.
