Don't pay full price for brand name computers!

By: Jake Davis

Most of us tend to think that when buying something online, we
are getting the best deal possible. Although that is sometimes
true, there are many ways to get an even better deal than the
general public when buying online. Take for example, buying a
new computer. If you go to a major computer manufacture's site
like Dell, you are expecting to get a great bargain while buying
direct. There may even be an advertised special like free
shipping or free monitor upgrade. One is tempted to add the item
to the cart, enter in your credit card, and hit "submit" feeling
great about the purchase. But how would you feel knowing that by
doing a small bit of research, you could have saved $300, $500,
or maybe even more on that same computer? Of course, everyone
wants to pay as little as possible and here's how.

You may have seen that small box in the checkout area of the
website that reads, "Enter coupon code". That little box is your
ticket to big savings. They key is to find one of these coupon
codes that applies to the item you want to buy, and more
importantly, is valid. Doing a random search for the term
"coupon codes" on the Internet will yield mostly useless
information. The majority of search results will lead you to a
spam type page loaded with keywords, just for the sake of
advertising. Sometimes, you may find a site with a coupon code,
but when you go to try it, the code has long expired. The key is
to find a site that is an actual affiliate of the computer
company. These sites are provided with fresh coupon codes each
week, just for their customers to use. It's a winning situation
for everyone involved from the customer, to the affiliate
website, to the computer company. Once you have found a real
site that updates these codes frequently, you can be assured
that the codes will be current and valid. It may take a bit of
searching to weed through the fake sites and find a real gem,
but they are out there. When you find one, all that's left to do
is copy down a coupon code start shopping!
